Job summary

Serco is seeking a Systems Engineer to support deployment, integration, and sustainment of enterprise technology solutions in a secure, mission-focused environment. You will help ensure enterprise systems are available, integrated, and optimized to meet evolving operational needs.

The role involves design, integration, deployment, administration, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and technology platforms with a focus on modernization, security, and high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Master's degree with 6 years of experience is acceptable.
• 8 years of systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and a DevSecOps background, including CI/CD pipelines, automated security scanning, and secure software delivery practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and platform environments.
• Experience with virtualization, networking, storage, and system integration technologies.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and support enterprise systems, infrastructure, and platform services.
• Administer Windows and Linux environments.
• Support virtualization, storage, networking, and compute resources.
• Perform system configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and application issues.
• Support modernization and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Participate in testing, validation, implementation, and deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support automation and operational efficiency efforts.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and sustain solutions.
• Support cybersecurity, compliance, accreditation, and security-hardening activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring as needed.
