Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a systems engineer to apply architectural principles across new product development for C5ISR programs.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, safety, test, manufacturing, QA, CAD, logistics support, and program management teams to realize product goals. The role emphasizes requirements management, documentation, verification planning, and cost/schedule input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Physics, or related field.
• At least 2+ years of related experience in Engineering, PM, or similar.
• Experiences in structural, facility, ground vehicle or HVAC systems are a plus.
• INCOSE certification (ASEP, CSEP or ESEP) desired.
• Requirements management database experience (DOORS or Jama) desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office basic product suite.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering in architecture, design, development, verification and validation for new products.
• Support cross-functional IPTs including Mechanical, Electrical, Safety, Test, Manufacturing, QA, CAD, ILS, and PM.
• Develop and maintain system design documentation and verification plans.
• Support requirements management and tracking, change management, and compliance assessment.
• Assist PM and Project Engineering with risk tracking, scheduling, cost inputs, and continuous improvement.
