Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and implement mechanical designs that meet customer specifications, cost targets, and project schedules for C5ISR applications.

You will analyze requirements, create and review drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and support proposals. The role involves ensuring compliance with engineering standards, working in an office/manufacturing environment, and contributing to

Qualifications

• BSME/BSMET from an accredited program.
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3-D Modeling Software.
• Defense/DoD engineering background preferable.

Responsibilities

• Designs shelters and mechanical modifications such as rack installations, ECU installations, entry panel installations, and miscellaneous ancillary items.
• Reviews customer requirements, including specifications, Statements of Work, and interface drawings to ensure contract compliance.
• Tracks schedules and budgets on assigned programs.
• Reviews and approves drawings.
• Creates technical proposals, technical materials, and procurement specifications.
