Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Mission Critical Superintendent to lead on-site construction for large-scale data center and infrastructure projects in the Washington DC area. You’ll manage mobilization through handover, coordinating structural, architectural, MEP, and specialist systems with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You’ll drive milestones, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and report progress and risks to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial construction with minimum 5 years as Superintendent.
• Experience delivering mission critical projects such as data centers or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and commissioning processes.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Experience with construction management tools such as Procore and BIM platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive key milestones including energization, commissioning, and phased turnover.
• Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and multiple workstreams.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance on site.
• Maintain QA and QC standards and support commissioning readiness.
• Manage subcontractors and hold teams accountable for delivery, quality, and safety.
• Lead coordination meetings and resolve issues to maintain progress.
• Provide updates to clients and stakeholders on progress and risks.

They deliver large scale data center and infrastructure projects for major clients and have built a strong reputation for consistent delivery. With a steady pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to grow their presence in the Washington DC area and are looking to add a Mission Critical Superintendent to the team.
