Job summary

KBR seeks a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer to join the Proliferated SAR, Communications, and EO team supporting a major US Government spacecraft program. The role focuses on spacecraft bus payload integration, design, testing, and operations sustainment, with collaboration across space, intelligence, and contractor teams.

Responsibilities include guiding system definitions, communicating with government stakeholders, and ensuring mission objectives within cost/schedule/performance constraints,

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph and related cadre.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct daily support to the program office Contracts Officer and COTR.
  • Oversee development contractor efforts to achieve program objectives.
  • Engage with space and ground system contractors to align with US Government objectives and milestones.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to define system requirements and sustainment plans.
  • Communicate system designs and interfaces to stakeholders across organizations.
  • Identify technology gaps and maturation points to improve mission performance.
  • Prepare and present briefings with analysis of risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Evaluate contractor performance to reinforce engineering rigor.
