Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Software Tester to support a large-scale big data analytics platform for U.S. Government intelligence analysts. You will design and execute test plans, validate performance and data integrity, and work with engineers in an Agile environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, CI Poly eligibility, and 5+ years in software testing within distributed systems. Strong automation skills with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress and scripting in Python/JavaScript are needed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position and required for consideration.
• Must be willing to obtain a CI Poly.
• Minimum of 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role, of which 5+ years has been in software testing, quality assurance, or related technical roles.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems in a variety of environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Understanding of software defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated self‑starter who consistently takes initiative with limited guidance and instruction.
• BS in Systems Engineering, GIS, Computer Systems Analysis, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent or related technical field.
• SCIF presence a minimum of 3 days per week, as program needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of web-based and data-centric applications.
• Perform integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across distributed environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Support CI/CD testing activities and participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Verify data integrity and data flow across large-scale analytics and ingestion pipelines.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Rigorously document detailed test processes.
