Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to support Naval projects in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves design, development, integration, and testing of software for DoW weapons and sensor systems within a systems and software engineering team.

Responsibilities include coding in C/C++, using Git and Jira for source control and task management, and supporting CI activities across the software lifecycle. A 0–10 year track record, a technical degree, and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 0–10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another applicable technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C/C++ software development.
• Experience with software development tools and configuration management processes.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team.
• Must have an active secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship required for Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using C and C++ programming languages.
