Job summary

Amentum seeks Software Engineers to join the US Marine Corps advanced technology development team. The role entails coding, fixing defects, and optimizing performance in an Agile, DoD-focused R&D environment. Primary work locations are Fredericksburg, VA or Dahlgren, VA with occasional telecommute or travel.

Candidates must be US Citizens with a Bachelor's in CS/Math/Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 2+ years. A SECRET clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS, Math, Engineering or related field, 3+ years experience or Master's with 2+ years.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance; no clearance required to apply.
• Two years of program/project level software design and development experience with sub-millisecond timing.

Responsibilities

• Create code and fix defects using Agile process for a complex software component.
• Measure processing time and optimize storage, network load and throughput for a DoD program.
• Design, code and maintain software support tools, testing and models.
• Primary location in Fredericksburg, VA or Dahlgren, VA with occasional travel.
