Job summary

Entarian is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) & Software Test Engineer to support NAVSUP OIS Next Gen, providing expertise to ensure reliable, functional, and user-friendly software. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve the software development lifecycle.

This role can be remote but may require travel to customer sites in Mechanicsburg, PA, and/or Yorktown, VA (up to 10%).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years' experience and 5+ years in software testing.
Experience performing manual software testing in an Agile or Scrum environment.
Experience writing and executing test cases; SQL/database validation.
Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
Experience using defect-tracking or test-management tools (GitLab).

Responsibilities

Review business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.
Execute manual functional, regression, integration, system, 508 and user acceptance testing.
Test web, mobile, and/or desktop applications across supported environments.
Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects using GitLab.
Clearly communicate defects, risks, test results, and release readiness.
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after changes are implemented.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and other QA professionals.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and documentation.
Support production validation and post-release testing when needed.
