Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This full-time, onsite role supports procurement activities and ensures timely acquisition of goods and services for mission success.

You will partner with requestors, evaluate vendor quotes, create POs, monitor supplier performance, and reconcile procurement documents. Mentoring and monthly metrics are part of the scope.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 7+ years of related procurement experience.
• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with requestors to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Create and process purchase orders (POs) or purchase via credit card.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Reconcile procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Assign purchases to team of purchasing agents.
• Mentor team members on purchasing processes.
• Compile monthly metrics.
• Interface with Accounting personnel to investigate invoicing issues related to purchasing #CJ
