Job summary

Culper Technology in Maryland seeks a Network Systems Engineer to support mission-critical operations at the intersection of enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, and real-time operations. You will help ensure availability, performance, and security of systems supporting national intelligence missions.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and can quickly assess issues to take decisive action in a high-tempo environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; five additional years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Maryland Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and sustain high-availability network and cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems.
• Analyze network traffic, logs, and telemetry to identify anomalies and mission impact.
• Provide real-time operational updates and clear technical reporting to mission stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate responses across network, cloud, and system layers.
• Develop remediation strategies to restore services and improve long-term resiliency.
• Support secure data flows and cross-domain solutions while maintaining IC security requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and cloud architects to improve performance and reliability.
• Contribute to runbooks, SOPs, and automation initiatives to streamline operations.
• Stay current on evolving network architectures and cloud technologies.
