Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking an MSS Developer to design and build mission‑critical analytics and applications atop Palantir Foundry/Gotham across multiple sites, including Peterson SFB. You will develop operator dashboards, data pipelines, and AI/ML workflows, partnering with mission leaders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in software/data engineering, strong Palantir experience, and a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative discipline; Palantir experience can substitute.
• 4+ years of software or data engineering experience (data analysis or data science considered).
• 1.5+ years hands-on with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, AIP, or MSS.
• Demonstrated experience building dashboards, applications, or pipelines for operational end users.
• Working proficiency in ontology design, PySpark, Code Repositories, or Pipeline Builder.
• Active US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build operator-facing dashboards, applications, and decision surfaces aligned to J7 mission workflows.
• Create self-service capabilities for operators to explore data independently.
• Build automated workflows delivering timely insights to stakeholders across the directorate.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across MSS deliverables.
• Develop data pipelines, ontology, and access controls on MSS and Palantir stack.
• Integrate external data sources into a well-modeled foundation.
• Ensure AI/AIP workflows have a solid data foundation and surfaced outputs.
• Collaborate with mission leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Create visualizations communicating complex insights to diverse audiences.
• Build interactive tools for data drilling and scenario exploration.
• Design alerting/monitoring to identify opportunities/risks.
• Establish KPIs and success metrics for mission performance.
• Develop scalable MSS solutions for growing data volumes and users.
• Provide day-to-day operator support and escalate complex issues.
