Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent for a mission-critical data center project near Philadelphia, PA. The role requires travel and on-site commitment five days a week.

You will assist with managing project completion, safety, quality, and scheduling in collaboration with on-site staff. Responsibilities include bid development support, enforcing safety policies, coordinating labor, budget oversight, site logistics, and lead scheduling efforts with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• 3+ years of mission critical data center project experience.
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of contracts and legal provisions.
• Ability to adapt to changing processes and perspectives.
• Multitasking with competing priorities while maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing work scopes and front-end documents for bidding to ensure clarity; participate in bid process and identify potential contractors.
• Enforce corporate safety policies on the job site and ensure safety compliance in the field.
• Organize and manage day-to-day on-site labor; coordinate contractor work to minimize interference.
• Support Project Manager in budget management and forecasting; monitor changes from contractors.
• Develop site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize impacts on occupants.
• Establish and implement the project baseline schedule with input from subcontractors.
• Lead pull planning and provide six-week look-ahead reports to PMs and field staff.
• Communicate daily issues, events, and progress to PMs and stakeholders.
