Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an MEP Construction Manager (Owner's Representative) for mission critical projects with nationwide travel across the United States. You will lead owner representation through planning, construction, commissioning, and turnover of high-tech facilities.

Key duties include coordinating with owners, contractors, and vendors; overseeing MEP delivery, safety, and commissioning; and driving schedule, budget, and quality objectives across complex data center programs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing MEP construction scopes on mission critical and data center projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes, system testing, and facility turnover procedures.
• Ability to work directly with owners, contractors, consultants, and vendor partners.
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common construction management software platforms.
• Willingness to travel extensively and support remote project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between project stakeholders and operations teams.
• Lead coordination meetings and site readiness reviews.
• Monitor risks and mitigate to protect schedule and budget.
• Provide regular progress reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Review MEP design docs for constructability and operability.
• Support procurement of major mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ensure QA/QC and commissioning requirements are included early.
• Participate in design coordination and clash resolution activities.
• Oversee field installation for compliance with specs and codes.
• Verify MEP systems installed per approved drawings.
• Track progress and support schedule recovery.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance.
• Support site safety programs and best practices.
• Review shutdowns, energization plans, and turnover readiness.
• Coordinate with teams to meet safety and operational needs.
• Oversee commissioning activities through tests and turnover.
• Coordinate with commissioning providers, vendors, and construction teams.
• Ensure turnover documentation and startup records are complete.
• Track punch lists and commissioning issues.
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Use project platforms to report progress and risks.
• Produce reports on schedule, quality, and commissioning progress.
