Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Production Control Specialist within the Detonation Science and Technology Group to manage inventory, material accountability, material readiness, and production control for high-explosive, classified, and inert materials used in research, development, and testing.

You will work with operations, safety, security, quality, and programmatic teams to ensure materials and MTE are received, tracked, stored, issued, reconciled, and documented in accordance

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with inventory control, material management, logistics, warehousing, procurement support, or operations support.
• Ability to assist with receiving, labeling, storing, staging, issuing, returning, reconciling, and dispositioning materials.
• Ability to learn accountability and positive-control practices for high explosives, classified matter, and M&TE.

Responsibilities

• Provide material management and logistics support in a controlled work environment.
• Maintain accountability of high explosives, classified matter, and M&TE.
• Conduct material control activities including receipt, labeling, storage, staging, issuance, return, transfer, and disposition.
• Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations; track shelf-life and serial numbers.
