Imperative Logistics Group is seeking a Mission Critical & Time-Sensitive Operations Specialist to oversee end-to-end freight movements across air, ocean, road, and multimodal solutions. This role demands urgency, problem-solving, and coordination to meet timelines, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

The position supports after-hours coverage, works in a hybrid setting reporting to the Gateway, IL office, and collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, Compliance, and Warehouse

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in multimodal logistics operations.
• Experience managing time-sensitive and mission-critical shipments in industries such as automotive, aerospace, healthcare, or energy.
• Familiarity with CargoWise One or similar TMS platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and coordination with carriers, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute time-sensitive shipments across air, ocean, road, and multimodal solutions.
• Oversee mission-critical freight operations including expedited and high-priority shipments.
• Monitor shipments in real time and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and global partners to secure capacity and mitigate disruptions.
• Utilize TMS systems for booking, tracking, and documentation.
• Support after-hours coverage for urgent shipments.
