Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Network Infrastructure Technician to support launch and landing activities with fiber, copper data cabling, networking, voice, and RF systems. The role involves building out telecom rooms and maintaining critical test results for real-time operations.

Applicants should have 2+ years of experience in fiber optics, cabling, and AV systems, with strong knowledge of industry standards. Willingness to travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optics and copper cabling (RF, Ethernet).
• Experience with network and telephony installation and audio/video systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and document fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot audio, video, and RF equipment.
• Install cable pathways and support infrastructure (trays, racks, hooks).
• Terminate and document cables including horizontal and backbone runs.
• Build out telecom rooms and install connectors and lugs.
• Perform continuity checks and locate wiring errors with instruments.
• Diagnose and correct instrumentation or system malfunctions.
• Tackle complex tasks involving communications systems and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot failures from test data.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
