Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an Information and Communications Technology Designer to perform basic technical duties under supervision, develop systems designs, and coordinate production with the workgroup. The role involves site visits, preparing deliverables, and ensuring adherence to project scope and budget.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in ICT-related work and proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling.
• Understanding of customer-owned outside plant pathway design.
• Familiarity with TIA standards and BICSI best practices.
• Experience with Data Center Facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and punch lists.
• Prepares project deliverables per client’s scope and intent.
• Follows quality management process and QA/QC checks.
• Coordinates with project team and clients to ensure scope alignment.
• Assists or acts as project manager to manage timeline and budget.
