Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Information and Communications Technology Designer to perform basic duties under supervision, developing system designs within the ICT discipline and coordinating with the project team. You will conduct site surveys, prepare deliverables per client scope in Stantec's proposal, adhere to quality management, and contribute to professional growth through meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ICT design within mission critical facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews returned work as necessary to ensure timely execution of project within budget.
• Identifies and reports potential roadblocks and competing client and co-worker priorities.
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
