Job summary

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, seeks an HVAC Technician – Level 2 for an onsite role in Childress, TX. The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and operational support for HVAC and critical cooling equipment in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities include responding to service calls, documenting work orders, escalating complex issues to senior technicians, and ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and standard repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and manufacturer instructions.
• EPA Section 608 certification required; Universal preferred.
• Technical schooling or OEM training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and work orders on commercial HVAC and critical cooling equipment.
• Respond to service calls and equipment alarms to support data center operations.
• Troubleshoot standard mechanical and electrical repairs on airside and waterside systems.
• Assist with startups, commissioning, and vendor-supported activities.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment histories in the maintenance system.
• Coordinate with site operations and vendors to minimize disruption.
