Job summary

Vantor is seeking a full stack software engineer to support the full analytical workflow. The role involves digging into data, trying innovative approaches, and moving quickly through failures to try new ideas.

You will design and implement scalable solutions for mission-critical applications and work across planning, design, and deployment stages. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, a CS/SE degree, and hands-on experience with Python/Java/Go/Rust, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance (willingness to obtain CI Polygraph)
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Experience with at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, Go, Rust)
• Experience developing, testing, and maintaining software applications
• Familiarity with Linux development environments
• Working knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Exposure to containers and containerization (Docker); Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience with data processing, analysis, or visualization
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions for mission-critical applications
• Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle from planning to maintenance
• Apply software standards to produce high-quality, maintainable software
• Work with cloud stacks to extract, transform, and visualize geospatial-temporal data
• Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users gain insights
• Proactively troubleshoot and solve problems
• Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users
