Vantor Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced full stack software engineer to support work across the full analytical workflow, including ELT, big geospatial data processing, cloud-based processing and emerging AI/ML techniques.

You will design scalable solutions, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to mission-critical outcomes. Qualified candidates have TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years, and strong Python/Java/Go/Rust skills and cloud experience.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and current TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one multiparadigm language (Python/Java/Go/Rust).
• Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of large datasets.
• Experience designing cloud-based architectures (AWS, C2S).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with Linux-based environments.
• Ability to lead small engineering teams and work independently or collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability; knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Engage across the development lifecycle from planning to deployment and maintenance.
• Apply standards to produce high-quality, maintainable software.
• Work with cloud stacks to extract, manipulate, transform and visualize geospatial data.
• Develop analytics/derivative data products to yield meaningful knowledge.
• Proactively troubleshoot and solve issues; collaborate with diverse teams.
