PTS Advance is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting mission-critical facilities and data centers. You will design fire protection and fire alarm systems, develop construction drawings in Revit or AutoCAD, and ensure code-compliant, safe, and reliable designs for complex environments.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering, 1–3 years of design experience, and strong documentation and collaboration skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field required.
• 1–3 years of fire protection design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD with understanding of codes and standards such as NFPA, IBC, IFC.

Responsabilidades

• Design fire protection and fire alarm systems for mission-critical facilities and data centers.
• Create detailed construction drawings and technical documents in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Apply NFPA, IBC, IFC and related codes to ensure compliant designs.
• Assist with system layouts, equipment selection, calculations, and analysis.
• Coordinate fire protection designs with MEP, structural, and architectural teams.
• Review drawings for clashes, constructability, and coordination issues.
• Support submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase activities.
• Participate in design reviews and QA/QC processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and project partners to meet deadlines.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team supporting mission-critical facilities and complex building environments. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you'll contribute to detailed engineering design, construction documentation, code compliance, and project coordination. What You'll Do

• Design and develop fire protection and fire alarm systems for mission-critical facilities, data centers, and other complex building environments.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical documentation, and coordinated design deliverables using Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Apply applicable fire protection codes, standards, and building regulations to support safe, compliant, and effective system designs.
• Assist with fire protection system layouts, equipment selection, system calculations, and technical design analysis as required.
• Coordinate fire protection and fire alarm designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify potential design conflicts, coordination issues, and constructability concerns.
• Assist with construction-phase activities, including submittal reviews, requests for information (RFIs), and technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes to help ensure accurate, complete, and code-compliant deliverables.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Communicate technical questions, design considerations, and project updates effectively with internal teams and external project partners.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through collaboration, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
• Perform additional engineering duties as needed to support successful project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 1–3 years of fire protection design experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Understanding of fire protection and fire alarm system design principles and applicable codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate engineering work.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward obtaining it.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or interest in pursuing professional licensure.
• Exposure to mission-critical facilities, data centers, healthcare, industrial facilities, laboratories, or other technically complex building environments.
• Familiarity with fire protection design standards and codes, including applicable NFPA standards, International Building Code (IBC), and International Fire Code (IFC).
• Experience with sprinkler system layouts, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, or related life-safety design.
• Experience with construction documents, equipment submittals, RFIs, or construction administration.
