Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Commissioning Consultant to perform essential commissioning tasks under supervision, guiding commissioning coordinators and engaging with clients. The role involves independent technical work on basic commissioning tasks and supporting 75% domestic travel.

Required: Electrical engineering fundamentals, strong writing skills, and experience with MEP systems. This position offers multiple US locations with open office flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Technical/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or accredited college/university a plus.
• Minimum 1+ year of consulting engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of commissioning projects including planning, scheduling and coordination of work.
• Performs engineering design reviews, prepares commissioning scripts and reports, directs client-site testing and trains on-site staff.
• Prepares start-up procedures, SOPs, and MOPs; develops comprehensive commissioning documentation.
• Prepares commissioning test procedures and reports.
• Develops and maintains commissioning logs, equipment checklists and other tracking tools.
• Generates comprehensive reports with recommendations to optimize building operations.
• Reviews design criteria, specifications, drawings and equipment submittals for commissioning relevance.
• Participates in commissioning activity meetings and interfaces with contractors, vendors, and testing technicians.
