Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Safety Director to proactively plan, direct and implement the Company’s ESH program across projects, ensuring safe operations for employees, clients, subcontractors, and the public. You will partner with executive leadership to sustain a proactive safety culture and lead incident investigations with root cause analysis.

The role requires extensive travel, CSP/ASP/CHST preferred, and a strong background in construction safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, safety management, construction or related field preferred.
• Board Certified Safety Professional designation preferred (CSP, ASP, or CHST).
• OSHA 510 Certification obtained within the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly safety reports for management, owners and parent company.
• Ensure completion of OSHA record-keeping and reporting.
• Create, plan and implement training programs on site safety practices.
• Oversee safety staff and ensure compliance across locations.
• Collaborate with executives to sustain a proactive safety culture.
