DESE Research, Inc. is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the GMD mission.

The role focuses on systems integration, interface definition, requirements management, risk management, and system-level engineering for complex defense systems. The candidate will develop ICDs, manage requirements and verification artifacts, and define Tx/Rx interfaces for weapon communications, while collaborating with program offices and government customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, integration, or a related discipline.
• Experience with interfaces, ICDs, and requirements traceability.
• Ability to manage risk assessment, mitigation, and closure.
• Understanding of GMD system performance and architecture.
• Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems integration and interface definition activities for complex defense systems.
• Develop, analyze, and maintain system and subsystem interfaces.
• Conduct risk assessments and support risk mitigation, tracking, and closure.
• Support analysis of GMD system performance and architecture across sensors, boosters, and threats.
• Develop and maintain functional and logical system architectures.
• Create, review, and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Support requirements development, management, allocation, and traceability.
• Define system-level Tx/Rx requirements and interfaces for weapon communications.
• Develop and manage system specifications and associated engineering documentation.
• Coordinate systems engineering artifacts across program offices, SMEs, and government stakeholders.
• Communicate technical findings and engineering decisions through presentations.
