DESE Research, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the design and manufacturing of a missile seeker meets performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes requirements management, system architecture, and interfacing with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate the seeker system throughout its lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in a related Technical Field (engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics)
• System engineering experience (2+ years) including software test, architecture, and interface development and definition and requirement derivation
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to missile seeker systems
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required, depending on the project

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications of the design and development of the software for the missile seeker.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate the software into the overall missile seeker system.
• Define and document the software's architecture, interfaces, and operational characteristics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and testing guidelines in the design and implementation of the software.
• Support test plans and procedure development to verify the functionality and performance of the software system.
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of any technical issues or anomalies related to the software during development, integration, manufacturing, and testing phases.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish project schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to the software.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in gimbal assembly technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance the performance and capabilities of our missile seeker system.
