Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead Data Migration Architect to act as the primary interface with a U.S. Government customer, providing senior technical leadership in data architecture, migration, and database-driven solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on execution with program management oversight across mission-critical data initiatives. The candidate will lead migration efforts between legacy and new repositories (Oracle and PostgreSQL) and guide development using Python, SQL, Java, and Linux.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of experience, including 5 years of project management experience and 2 years in the IC.
• Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Hands-on or oversight-level experience with Linux, Python, SQL, and Java.
• Demonstrated experience leading data migration across enterprise repositories.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and managing dispersed teams.
• Familiarity with IC processes and mission environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead data migration efforts across enterprise repositories ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Oversee implementation of migrations between legacy and new data stores in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Guide development using Python, SQL, Java, and Linux-based systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to modernize data workflows and storage.
• Serve as Program Manager for a small team of analysts and vendors.
• Coordinate with CO/COTR and government stakeholders; manage schedules and risks.
