Job summary

Amazon seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities that power AWS global infrastructure. You will monitor electrical and mechanical systems, manage rack-level tasks, and support change-management documentation.

Expect travel across active data center sites with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. The role includes on-site collaboration with engineers, facilities staff, and contractors, in an inclusive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical writings to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per established practices.
