Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems across AWS data centers.

You will perform rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot, assist with rack installations, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires travel between sites and may involve on-call rotations. Relocation stipend eligible for relocation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience or 1+ years in data center or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical writing to support change management programs.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive them to resolution; manage projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support for contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors per established practices and local regulations.
• Work schedule may include 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations; role may cover multiple sites.
