Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking a dynamic Scheduler - Mission Critical to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for large-scale data center construction projects. The role supports planning complex sequences and tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery.

The position can be based in Reno or Salt Lake City and requires travel as needed. Strong proficiency with scheduling tools and excellent communication are essential to coordinate across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years related experience in a construction environment.
• Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools.
• Certification by AACE or PMI in planning/scheduling is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with planning controls systems, automation, GAMP, Emerson & Delta V would be a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communications.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities across multiple projects.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of claims process and lifecycle.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval.
• Assess impacts to the critical path and near‑critical activities and report to the project team.
• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and propose corrective actions.
• Provide schedule progress reports, trend charts and analyses on a periodic basis.
• Maintain records of scope changes and variances affecting schedule performance.
• Review schedules with project team to ensure accurate data.
• Analyze schedules from A/E firms, vendors and general contractors.
• Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths.
• Evaluate activity sequences for constructability and adjust as needed.
• Recommend actions to manage float and sequencing to hit milestones.
• Analyze change orders for schedule impacts.
• Resource load schedules as required.
• Conduct jobsite walks to verify progress.
• Facilitate scheduling meetings and participate in project meetings.
