Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Project Executive to lead mission-critical projects, including data centers, overseeing daily management, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality.

Based in Springfield, IL with on-site responsibilities and occasional travel, this role requires 15+ years in operations at a GC and proven ability to deliver multi-million-dollar, fast-track programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive operations experience with a GC.
• Minimum of 5 years leading data center or mission critical facility projects.
• Proven success managing multi-million-dollar projects with tight deadlines and high complexity.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.
• Valid State-issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership over daily project management and field operations.
• Mentor staff and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and change management.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment.
• Report project status, milestones and KPI to executives.
