Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a highly experienced MEP Superintendent to lead field MEP activities on mission-critical data center projects in the Southeast U.S. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing field MEP work on large-scale projects.
• At least 3 years on mission-critical or data center projects.
• Experience managing full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.
• Familiar with Southeast U.S. markets, labor, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Preconstruction, Estimating and Design teams on constructability and VE.
• Direct and coordinate all on-site MEP activities to meet milestones and budget.
• Lead daily field walks and coordination meetings with subs and internal teams.
• Enforce safety, site logistics, and installation quality per contract docs.
• Proactively resolve field conflicts and schedule impacts across trades.
• Coordinate with BIM/VDC and commissioning teams for sequencing and performance.
• Oversee MEP start-up, testing, and commissioning with owners and partners.
• Ensure turnover docs, as-builts, and O&M manuals are accurate.
