Job summary

Dean Fluor is seeking a Critical Facilities Specialist to join the operations team responsible for the data centre's electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety systems. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, coordinate with government staff and vendors, and act as the central resource for all mechanical facility operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in facilities HVAC maintenance and 1 year in data center/mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders, manuals and safety materials.
• Ability to input information into computerized maintenance and time-keeping databases.
• Work in confined spaces, at elevations, on ladders, and lift equipment over six feet.
• Carry a two-way radio on duty for prompt emergency response.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Must comply with licensing, company policies and maintain security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor mechanical systems and rotate critical equipment to balance runtimes.
• Troubleshoot abnormal operations and issue corrective maintenance work orders if needed.
• Record system status and parameters using journals and control system tools.
• Identify changes to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
• Update control applications and operating parameters as facility operations change.
• Perform routine operator rounds and document readings and faults.
• Respond to emergencies and perform tasks to protect occupants and the facility.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance on facility support equipment.
• Record values in CMMS and report repairs and time spent.
