Job summary

Quality Technology Services is seeking a Critical Environment Engineer to support the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of our data centers. You will help plan, install, and integrate critical systems and lead through coordination with engineering teams to ensure reliability and uptime.

The role requires experience with large-scale data centers, UPS, generators, cooling systems, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Travel to multiple data center locations is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent.
• Five+ years of engineering experience in technical/critical environments (data center, nuclear power, hospital, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial/commercial field engineering).
• HVAC or critical power certifications or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to other Data Center locations as required.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to all aspects of data center operations including 24x7 uptime and SLA compliance.
• Assist in site construction activities, coordinate testing and documentation.
• Coordinate site technical solutions for customer move-ins and power installations.
• Support accreditation, certification and compliance initiatives as required by QTS.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and national electrical/building codes.
• Interface with vendors, QTS Engineering, Development and operations teams.
• Assist in planning and execution of maintenance events and change management.
