Job summary

Lorien in Columbus, OH is seeking a Construction Manager for mission critical data center retrofit work. The role leads onsite field execution, coordinating subcontractors and GC crews while ensuring safety, schedule, and uptime in live data center environments.

You will manage MEP scopes including electrical, mechanical, cooling, and controls, partnering with facility teams to minimize impact on operations. Strong leadership and travel willingness are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Construction Management experience in data center, mission critical, or similar live critical environment.
• Direct experience running subcontractor, GC, and trade crews onsite.
• Strong MEP construction background: electrical, mechanical, cooling, and controls.
• Experience managing construction where safety, uptime, and quality are critical.
• Working knowledge of MOPs, one-line diagrams, BMS, and EPMS.
• Strong communication, field leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution, coordinating subcontractors and GC crews.
• Review work plans, safety requirements, MOPs, and site access before work begins.
• Walk the site to monitor progress and ensure safety, quality, and schedule.
• Coordinate MEP scopes across electrical, mechanical, cooling, and controls.
• Work with facility teams to avoid disrupting live operations.
• Resolve field issues before they impact schedule or uptime.
• Track progress, quality, documentation, and closeout items.
