Job summary

JT4, LLC in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Computer Operator II to set up, operate, and monitor complex computer operations supporting business, engineering, and scientific data processing.

Under general supervision, you will ensure policy compliance, prepare data for reports, and assist in maintenance of computer equipment, with occasional travel to remote sites. This role requires technical training beyond high school and at least three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical or military equivalent training beyond high school and a minimum of three years of job-related experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Good planning/organizational skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor complex computer operations and peripheral equipment.
• Comply with operation policy, standards, and procedures.
• Interpret program requirements, audit input data, and check tapes.
• Gather data for reports required by accounting, management or engineering.
• Compile programs for programmers.
• Write minor operational programs.
• Organize computer input and output of data.
• Investigate non-standard irregularities and locate sources.
• Analyze and recover operations in complex error situations.
• Assist in maintenance and inventory control of computer equipment.
• Provide technical support to computer users and organize the operation cycle events.
• Provide maintenance and installation support of computer equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems in hardware and software and develop solutions.
• Perform other job-related duties.
