Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent - Mission Critical to support managing work flow, schedule adherence, and safety on complex projects.

You will coordinate with field staff and subcontractors, maintain daily logs, and assist in closeout processes to meet budget, quality, time and safety objectives. The role requires a four-year degree preferred in construction, engineering, or business, 2–5 years of commercial construction

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
• 2–5 years in commercial construction, including general contractor experience.
• Experience with occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast-paced projects is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Work with project manager to formulate project schedule and ensure proper methods and sequence of installation.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all project aspects.
• Foster good relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders and manage subcontractor scope to minimize change orders.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and site conditions; identify and resolve problems early.
• Organize the site team and arrange for temporary facilities and long-lead item expediting.
