Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the IDCS Cloud Team at Joint Base San Antonio. This on-site role focuses on enterprise cloud environments (AWS/Azure GovCloud) and DevSecOps, with emphasis on RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

You will implement and optimize cloud infrastructure, manage IaC pipelines, and collaborate across cybersecurity, data engineering, and development teams in a high-impact national security context.

Qualifications

• Requires BS and 8+ years of relevant experience or MS with 6+ years, any additional years welcomed.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with DoD Top Secret SCI eligibility.
• Experience operating GovCloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Minimum of 5 years in DevOps engineering; 3 years GovCloud operations.
• DoD 8140 baseline certifications or equivalent training/experience.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
• IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) experience; Docker and Kubernetes exposure.
• RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements understanding.

Responsibilities

• Implement, operate, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) for services.
• Provide operational system administration and deployment support across GovCloud platforms.
• Configure and test native, COTS, FOSS, and custom capabilities in cloud environments.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and platform services across multi-enclave clouds.
• Implement IaC and automation for provisioning and config management.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines with automated deployment and monitoring.
• Monitor performance, availability, and reliability; implement improvements.
• Patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot systems; ensure security and RMF compliance.
• Assist with asset management, backups, DR, and COOP processes.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, security, data engineering, and development teams.
