Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Mission Crew Trainer (MCT) Technical Architect to work onsite in Sterling, VA. This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.

You will define the MCT architecture, align with customer requirements, and develop a scalable simulation framework that trains mission aircrew. You will collaborate with aircraft mission system teams, lead technical innovations, oversee system integration, and mentor engineering staff while ensuring

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define Mission Crew Trainer architecture and overall technical approach ensuring design space supports evolving requirements.
• Collaborate with Aircraft Mission System IPTs to integrate mission system architecture into high-fidelity simulations.
• Lead technical innovation to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of simulation systems.
• Oversee system integration and design, providing architectural governance across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams to foster technical excellence and collaboration.
