Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Mission Cloud Engineer to architect and manage multi‑cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) across IL‑4 to IL‑6+ environments in support of national security space programs. The role requires deep cloud expertise, strong security controls, and collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams.

You will design networks, implement IAM and boundary protections, and drive RMF/NIST 800‑53 alignment while supporting ATO processes and security assessments.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification (CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent) required
• Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at IL-4, IL-5, and IL-6+ impact levels
• Strong documentation skills for architecture diagrams, SSPs, and government compliance artifacts

Responsibilities

• Architect and build AWS and Azure cloud networks across multiple classification levels (IL-4/IL-5/IL-6+)
• Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure spanning platforms, domains, and program requirements
• Collaborate with security engineers to ensure compliance with program requirements and standards
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, tooling, and capabilities for in-flight USG programs
• Document cloud architectures, configurations, and security controls for ATO readiness
