Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Principal Mission Cloud Engineer to architect and manage multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure for high-assurance government programs. You will translate security and mission requirements into scalable, compliant cloud solutions and own network architecture across classification boundaries.

You will collaborate with security engineers and program teams to ensure robust security controls, RMF/ATO support, and up-to-date documentation for government compliance.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS and Azure at scale.
• Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification (CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent) required.
• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at IL-4, IL-5, and/or IL-6+ impact levels.
• Deep expertise architecting AWS and Azure networks from the ground up, including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, routing, DNS, and boundary protection.
• Experience managing multi-cloud environments across multiple platforms and classification domains simultaneously.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud security controls, shared responsibility models, and control inheritance within DoD classified cloud environments.
• Experience supporting RMF processes, ATO activities, and compliance with NIST 800-53 and applicable NSS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build AWS and Azure cloud networks across multiple classification levels, IL-4/IL-5/IL-6+.
• Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure spanning platforms and program requirements.
• Collaborate with security engineers to ensure compliance with program security requirements.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, tooling, and capabilities for in-flight USG programs.
• Design and implement cloud network architectures including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, routing, and boundary controls.
• Implement IAM frameworks and least-privilege access models across cloud environments.
• Support RMF, ATO processes and NSS framework compliance.
• Document architectures and security controls to support ATO and accreditation.
