Job summary

Independence Mission Schools Central Office in Philadelphia seeks a strategic development professional to lead the Mission Champions Program, growing donor engagement and philanthropic support for IMS students from underserved communities.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Leadership & Annual Giving, you will design and execute a comprehensive program, collaborate with school leaders and Advancement colleagues, and manage high-touch donor relationships across IMS’s network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Proven ability to build and grow fundraising programs and donor pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with donor CRM platforms such as DonorPerfect or Raiser’s Edge.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy to grow the Mission Champions program across IMS, including donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and stewardship.
• Set ambitious targets for donor visits, solicitation activity, dollars raised, and engagement.
• Manage high-touch relationships with Mission Champion donors and provide impact reporting.
• Create a comprehensive stewardship plan with tailored communications and events.
• Collaborate with 14 school leaders, Advancement, and Communications to share donor impact narratives.
• Develop sponsorship proposals and materials to secure commitments.
• Support broader annual giving initiatives and special campaigns as needed.
