Job summary

Vantor is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF activities and protect classified information systems from evolving threats. You will develop security documentation, coordinate with government stakeholders, and ensure continuous monitoring across the system lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings RMF/authorization experience, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to vulnerability management, containment, and remediation in Agile or DevSecOps environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working as an ISSO, ISSM, security analyst, or similar role.
• Experience supporting RMF activities and security authorization for government systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining security documentation such as SSPs, POA&Ms, and assessment materials.
• Experience implementing and monitoring security controls per government policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of security programs for classified information systems throughout the lifecycle.
• Assist RMF activities from system categorization to continuous monitoring and authorization.
• Develop and maintain security documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, and contingency plans.
• Coordinate with ISSM, ISSE, system owners, and government personnel on security requirements and risks.
• Monitor security posture and ensure controls are documented, tested, and maintained.
• Track vulnerabilities, POA&Ms, findings, and remediation to closure.
• Support vulnerability scanning, assessments, testing, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, software, cloud, data, and infrastructure teams to embed security in development.
• Support secure implementation of ontologies, knowledge graphs, APIs, data integrations, and mission applications.
• Provide security guidance and reports to government stakeholders and leadership.
