Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Los Angeles, CA to monitor and maintain system security on operational systems, including malware eradication, configuration management, assessment and authorization, and to review and revise security documentation with stakeholders.

The ISSO will implement standard information security practices, policies, and technologies, communicate with security stakeholders, and support RMF workflows.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• DoD 8570 IAT-2 certification within 6 months
• Education/experience in computer security-related fields
• Multiple education/experience pathways accepted (Bachelors+2y, HS+6y, Associate+4y, Masters+0-2y)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system stakeholders to enhance system security
• Communicate effectively with all security stakeholders
• Create, revise, or review cybersecurity documentation
• Identify opportunities to increase customer value
• Act as Data Transfer Agent between systems of varying security domains
• Inventory, track, and control removable media and portable devices
• Advise on NIST SP 800-37 RMF workflows and requirements
• Review SIEM and RMF tools to advise on baselines and statuses
• Advise on acceptable use and cybersecurity policies
• Report and document security incidents and response actions
