Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be located in Iuka, MS.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support and mentor team members by promoting professional development, fostering a collaborative environment, and endorsing ethical conduct.
Encourages team members to connect their efforts to overall company goals by creating an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences.
Participating in program planning and execution, to include the implementation of quality program plans tailored to the appropriate phase of the program, customer requirements and overall trends and/or risk profiles.
Ensuring the Quality/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering processes are consistent with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9145 and AS9100).
Engages team members and drives robust root cause corrective actions utilizing appropriate quality tools (5-Whys, fishbone, etc.).
Tracks and owns all metrics related to quality, provides input for monthly reporting as well as presents quality results to leadership.
Drives improvements within the business to reduce defects and streamline quality processes.
Actively monitors nonconformance and corrective actions to ensure timely dispositions and corrective action responses.
Functional planning, personnel management, and cost account management.
Champion Lean Agile and Digital Transformation initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 9 years of related experience as defined below; OR a Masters degree and 7 years of related experience as defined below;
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include experience in an aircraft, aerospace and/or manufacturing environment in a quality role.
7 years of Leadership experience.
Extensive Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.
5 years of experience as a Quality Manager or a similar Mission Assurance role.
AS9145/PPAP Experience.
Lean Agile and/or Six Sigma certification and experience.
Experience interfacing with customer and government agencies.
Material Review Board Experience.
Salary Range: $139,100 - $208,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
