Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be located in Iuka, MS.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Support and mentor team members by promoting professional development, fostering a collaborative environment, and endorsing ethical conduct.
  2. Encourage team members to connect their efforts to overall company goals by creating an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences.
  3. Participate in program planning and execution, to include the implementation of quality program plans tailored to the appropriate phase of the program, customer requirements and overall trends and/or risk profiles.
  4. Ensure the Quality/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering processes are consistent with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9145 and AS9100).
  5. Engage team members and drive robust root cause corrective actions utilizing appropriate quality tools (5-Whys, fishbone, etc.).
  6. Track and own all metrics related to quality, provide input for monthly reporting as well as present quality results to leadership.
  7. Drive improvements within the business to reduce defects and streamline quality processes.
  8. Actively monitor nonconformance and corrective actions to ensure timely dispositions and corrective action responses.
  9. Functional planning, personnel management, and cost account management.
  10. Champion Lean Agile and Digital Transformation initiatives.

The selected candidate must be an inclusive and collaborative leader with the ability to influence others at all levels and have demonstrated leadership skills leading multi-function and technical working groups while directly contributing to programs and proposals. The candidate must have a track record in mentoring and developing the skills of their teams, and driving change across organizations with successful, quantified business results. The candidate must be able to establish strong, collaborative, working relationships with operations (Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management) and business unit leaders, and customer quality representatives.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree and 9 years of related experience as defined below; OR a Masters degree and 7 years of related experience as defined below;
  2. Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include experience in an aircraft, aerospace and/or manufacturing environment in a quality role
  3. 7 years of Leadership experience
  4. Extensive Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
  5. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  6. Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems
  7. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Active DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
  2. 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager or a similar Mission Assurance role
  3. AS9145/PPAP Experience
  4. Lean Agile and/or Six Sigma certification and experience
  5. Experience interfacing with customer and government agencies.
  6. Material Review Board Experience

Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
