The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $145,000 per year. Exact compensation will depend on skills, experience, and location. For more details, contact the recruiter listed on this posting.

This role is remote in the US but cannot be employed in California.

About the Role:

You will serve as the lead technical liaison, collaborating with volunteer members to develop guidance, resources, and communications related to sustainability assurance and advisory topics. Your work will help accounting and finance professionals become sustainability leaders, performing assurance and advisory services related to sustainability information. You will report to the Senior Director - Assurance & Advisory Innovation and work 100% remotely.

You Will:

  • Lead committees, task forces, and working groups in developing and maintaining guidance, practice aids, tools, educational materials, member communications, comment letters, and other relevant materials for CPAs in sustainability assurance and advisory engagements.

  • Identify market developments and member needs related to sustainability assurance; develop responses and solutions aligned with Assurance Services Executive Committee (ASEC) guidance.

  • Provide guidance and technical support on sustainability matters to the AAI Team and other teams within the organization.

  • Represent the Association as a spokesperson on sustainability topics through presentations, media interviews, responses to technical questions, and outreach to broaden awareness and adoption among members, CPA societies, and other stakeholders.

  • Support advocacy efforts related to regulatory, legislative, and standard-setting developments in sustainability.

  • Work as an individual contributor.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with third parties to facilitate market acceptance of sustainability assurance and advisory services.
