Job summary

FALCATA seeks a Mission Assurance Lead to establish and oversee a comprehensive quality management framework ensuring reliability and mission success for advanced missile or spacecraft systems.

You will lead root cause analyses, perform predictive risk assessments, and support hardware/software test-readiness and flight-readiness reviews while auditing suppliers and managing non-conformance and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, mission assurance, or systems engineering within the aerospace or defense industry.
• Expert knowledge of aerospace quality standards and mission assurance frameworks.
• Proficiency with failure analysis and risk-assessment methodologies, including FMEA, FTA, FRACAS.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain mission assurance and quality frameworks aligned with program system engineering requirements.
• Lead root‑cause analyses, corrective actions, and failure investigations.
• Perform risk assessments using standard methodologies such as FMEA, FTA, and FRACAS.
• Support and participate in test‑readiness, design‑readiness, and flight‑readiness reviews.
• Oversee supplier quality audits and monitor supplier performance for critical components.
• Manage the non‑conformance reporting process and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Provide regular mission assurance status reports and risk summaries to program leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program management to ensure design intent and reliability objectives are met.
