Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Mid-Level Simulation Engineer to develop and maintain high-fidelity models for missile systems. You will support weapon system integration onto launch platforms and analyze missile performance for improvements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering/physics/math and 5–12 years of related experience, with MATLAB/C++/Python proficiency and active DoD Secret clearance. Occasional telework and a team-focused, rigorous environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or math.
• 5-12 years of related technical experience.
• Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S).
• Ability to program in structured software languages.
• U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance required.
• Experience with GNC, Radar Sensors, or weapon performance modeling preferred.
• Experience with MATLAB, C++, and Python preferred.
• Strong foundation in modeling & simulation, physics, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Familiarity with VV&A standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine system simulations, which include physics-based models.
• Perform simulation-based performance analysis to support software updates and system improvements.
• Analyze flight test data to verify and improve simulation accuracy.
• Support studies to assess operational effectiveness of weapon systems.
• Work with missile software and platform integration teams to ensure simulations reflect missile system of systems realities.
• Generate briefings and technical reports to communicate system effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
